Welcome back, Streamers! This weekend I was able to watch a flick I didn’t even know existed, The Bluff. This movie, on Prime Video, follows a Caribbean woman forced to protect her island and family when it seems her secret past has caught up to her. A band of murderous buccaneers have come to get their just due. Boss violent lady hijinks ensue.

As far as entertaining movies go, if you’re looking for some gratuitious violence, gore and fighting… this is definitely the movie for you. I had no clue what this movie was about before turning it on. I was shocked to find out what was going on here. Karl Urban takes on his normal bad guy role, but the real surprise is Priyanka Chopra Jonas. She’s definitely been in some roles where she’s supposed to be kick butt, but in this movie, she’s actually a beast. An angry woman is bad enough. A mother scared for her kid is bad enough. A wife who doesn’t know where her husband is, is bad enough but they mixed all three together. This woman cannot get scarier.

Short story long, The Bluff is the movie you never knew was coming that you don’t have to watch but you’ll be entertained if you click it on. From the accents to the storyline, the movie is just average but if you like seeing women kick butt… this is the movie for you. Grab a hand full of popcorn and check out The Bluff.
