Thanks for joining me on this new adventure!
One thing people know about me is my love for movies and television shows. I’m relentless when it comes to these things. I remember having to do a pie chart in the 6th grade about the percentage of time in my daily life. My chart said 60% of my day was watching tv and that’s pretty hard to do when you’re asleep 7-8 hours a night and in school another 8 hours. Since then, my passion for movies and television have continued to grow and I enjoy sharing my thoughts with friends and family. My hope is that I can make it easier for others to enjoy movies as well. I remember watching “At the Movies” with my brother as kid and saying, “I want to do that”. If you follow me on Facebook, you have already seen that I have been posting movie reviews for few years now just to let people know how much they should spend on a movie. Life is hard and we all deserve a distraction or release. For me, that is in a great story told in a movie.
“When a movie character is really working, we become that character. That’s what the movies offer: Escapism into lives other than our own.” — Roger Ebert
This quote holds true. This is why I began doing reviews. The purpose of my reviews are not to tell you how much you should like the movie, but to allow you to better gauge how much you should spend on a movie or the amount of time you should dedicate to a movie. Many of us have limited funds but all of us have a finite amount of time that we cannot waste, unknowingly. This is where I come in to help the community. Please take a look at my new “5 pop” rating scale to help guide you to movie gold and time expectation management.
Unfortunately, I am not able to watch every movie in theaters. So in addition to movie reviews, this blog will also include current events that I find to be “good news,” which the media and society don’t typically cover. I find these stories should get the same acclaim as the movies, and I wish to share and discuss my review of them with you.
So recline your reserved seat because the [p]reviews are about to begin.
Thank you for your time and feel free to share with friends and family.
